Museum of Maritime Tradition

Information
Unlike the mythical Cyclops, the Greeks knew how to build well, because they knew how to make reliable ships, and how to travel. Homer reminded us of that, before we started designing our own ship, the one that would tell the story of the Greeks and the sea, thousands of years after the Odyssey.
A building between the sea and the land, between the sea of adventure and the land of nostos. A building with two wings, one facing the city and the other – the sea. The triangular shape, the one that tears the water, defined the form of our proposal. Visiting the entire complex, with its indoor, outdoor and marine exhibits, you will pass between two triangles. The entrance introduces you to the foyer, a passage through the building volumes. Here is the reference to maritime tradition: the roof, part of the multi-spliced geometry of the large triangles, recalling the keels of wooden ships.
